Smolage set out to launch a full NFT game world with character progression, marketplace dynamics, and token-based mechanics. The vision was ambitious: a game where every interaction had real economic value. But early builds told a different story. Game logic broke under load, UI lagged, and the flow between smart contracts and user actions was disjointed.

The problem wasn’t the idea—it was the structure. The team had strong creative instincts but lacked a cohesive system to connect design, economy, and gameplay. With the issue at hand being a mix of technical instability and unclear player experience, it was clear that Smolage didn’t need more features. It needed a framework that made the experience intuitive, stable, and scalable.

Synse rebuilt the foundation for a game that could actually grow.

• Designed and built the full game UI in Next.js to deliver responsive, fluid player interactions

• Integrated smart contract actions through Wagmi and handled deployment logic across environments

• Created modular gameplay systems: Labor Ground, Cave, and a live NFT Marketplace

• Developed $BONES utility token mechanics tied to player progression and in-game rewards

• Structured the GraphQL backend to serve blockchain data in real time for a seamless on-chain experience

Every part of the rebuild was about connecting what players saw with what the blockchain recorded.
